Native Arts and Cultures Foundation to visit the Native Art Center

To all AFN artists in town, The Native Art Center at UAF (http://www.uaf.edu/art/areas/native-arts/) will be hosting a gathering of artist on October 22^nd at 1pm in room 301 of the Fine Arts Complex at UAF. The Program director of the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation (www.nativeartsandcultures.org) will be to here talk about the work they are doing at the foundation and would like to visit with local artists to hear about their work and aspirations.

This will be a great opportunity for Alaska Native artist to hear about the Foundation’s work. I know AFN is a busy time for everyone but the foundation is doing some great things, check out the link (http://www.nativeartsandcultures.org/community?ref=nf). And our studio was renovated since the last AFN in Fairbanks so come on up and check it out.

Today we will be visiting the University of Alaska Museum of the North (http://www.uaf.edu/museum/) just up the road from the Native Arts Center. Remember its a reserch Museum so students can make appointment to go downstairs and look at what isn't on display.
